• Overview
• The voluntary safety check is intended for industrial product manufacturers or importers to commit a designated testing agency to carry out safety testing prior to product distribution or customs clearance , and report the test results to a safety certification agency, to prevent injuries from potential hazards due to their structure, materials or uses.

  6. Stationery
  7. Collapsible ladders
  8. Water tissues (transferred to voluntary safety check category from safety certification, effective as of July 1, 2009)

  3. Product instructions
  - Instructions should be in the Korean language.
  - Where there is no instruction form, the labeling details may be substituted.
    Voluntary safety check home page → applicable items → applicable industrial product annexes → labeling (position; back of annex)
  - Address of manufacturer (written in English for foreign origin products)
  - All labeling details should be fully entered in the instructions.
  - Product photos (1 copy)
  4. Safety test results of relevant industrial products (Application for voluntary safety checkups includes a request for simultaneous safety testing and no additional documentation is needed but preparation should be made for testing requests.)
  5. Soap & detergent biodegradation application form (synthetic detergent only)
  6. Submission is advised for indication of gas quantity & type (for aerosol aromatics & detergents only )
  7. For lithium cell filing, please submit cell & battery manufacturer specifications.
  8. Please submit manufacturer’s durability test results (and high speed) (for automotive tires only).
